Mini PC manufacturer GMKtec is preparing the global availability of its EVO-T2 series, bringing one of the latest Intel-based compact systems to users looking for high compute performance in a small footprint. The Mini PC was initially introduced in China earlier this month, and the company has now confirmed that worldwide sales will begin on March 30, 2026. Early subscribers will receive a limited discount, although the first batch will include only 50 units.

The EVO-T2 series is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra X7 358H and Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processors, part of the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 lineup based on Intel’s 18A process node. Both processors feature a hybrid 16-core configuration composed of four performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and four low-power efficiency cores. This layout is designed to handle demanding workloads while maintaining relatively controlled power consumption, which is important for compact systems.

GMKtec states that the EVO-T2 can deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI compute performance by combining CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration. This level of processing capability is aimed at local AI tasks, machine learning development, and content workflows that benefit from on-device inference rather than relying entirely on cloud resources. The company also highlights support for hybrid AI workloads that combine local processing with cloud-based services, helping reduce operational costs related to token-based AI usage.

Graphics processing is handled by the integrated Intel Arc B390 solution. GMKtec indicates that performance may reach levels comparable to entry-level discrete GPUs such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 class, though independent benchmarks will provide a clearer picture once retail units are widely available. The presence of OCuLink connectivity allows users to attach an external GPU enclosure if additional graphics performance is required for gaming or production workloads.

The memory configuration includes 64 GB of LPDDR5X operating at 8533 MT/s, providing high bandwidth for multitasking and compute-heavy applications. Storage is provided through a 1 TB NVMe SSD, with expansion support of up to 16 TB via dual M.2 slots that include PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 interfaces. GMKtec also references compatibility with Phison’s aiDAPTIV+ technology, which is intended to improve storage efficiency when working with AI-related data sets and models.
Pricing for the EVO-T2 starts at $1,899 for the 64 GB memory and 1 TB storage configuration. Early subscribers can receive a $60 discount, reducing the price to $1,839 for the first batch. UK pricing begins at £1,479, with a reduced price of £1,419 during the early promotion period. The company has not confirmed pricing for configurations based on the higher-end Core Ultra X9 388H processor, but additional details may be shared closer to broader availability.
The EVO-T2 reflects the ongoing shift in the mini PC segment toward systems capable of handling AI workloads alongside traditional productivity and gaming tasks. With support for high-speed memory, next-generation storage interfaces, and optional external GPU expansion, the system targets developers, creators, and small business environments seeking compact computing platforms with modern hardware capabilities.
