Epic Games has officially launched The Simpsons crossover in Fortnite, marking the arrival of Chapter 6, Season 5. This new season brings players to Springfield Island, a map inspired by the world of The Simpsons. According to Epic, the design focuses on a faster, more compact gameplay experience that revisits the roots of the classic Battle Royale format.
Each week during the season, players can expect new Simpsons-themed additions, including gameplay elements, limited-time challenges, and cosmetic items in the in-game shop. The crossover will also include map updates that evolve as the season progresses.
As part of the event, Epic Games has teamed up with Gracie Films to produce a series of original animated shorts titled The Simpsons Shorts. These will premiere weekly and can be viewed directly inside Fortnite through the Quests tab under “Animated Shorts.” The episodes will also appear on Fortnite’s official social channels and Disney+. The release schedule is as follows:
- November 1: Apocalypse D’Oh
- November 10: Sugar High
- November 17: Multiplidiocy
- November 24: The Incredible Bulk
The Springfield Battle Pass features a lineup of themed outfits and rewards based on popular Simpsons characters. Players can unlock skins for Homer, Marge, Ned Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and a Springfielder Peely. Over the weekend, the game introduces the Delulu mode, which features special Simpsons-style weapons and gameplay twists that encourage team play—and occasional betrayals.
Fortnite Battle Royale will also host new Springfield tournaments, including the Victory Cups. These competitions reward players with cash prizes for each Victory Royale earned once they advance to Round 2.
Another addition to this season is the Fortnite Sidekicks feature, launching with Peely as the first available character. More Sidekicks are expected to arrive on Friday, November 7, expanding the in-game roster with new companion characters.
Beyond Fortnite, The Simpsons have made their way into Epic’s other major title, Rocket League. From now until November 17, Rocket League players can complete challenges to earn themed rewards based on the animated series. Items include the Blinky Topper, Homer’s Hedges Player Banner, and Waste Wheels. There is also an unlimited challenge that grants 20,000 XP each time it is completed.
With Chapter 6, Season 5 now underway, Fortnite continues to expand its collaborations, blending classic television with its ever-changing world. Players can explore Springfield Island, unlock exclusive cosmetics, and experience a series of new animated shorts inspired by one of television’s most recognizable families.
