Flydigi has released the Vader 5S Elite Xbox Licensed Wired Controller, introducing a new option for Xbox and PC players seeking hardware-level customization and programmable controls. The controller features a black and gold design and supports wired connectivity for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 PCs.
As an officially licensed Xbox product, the Vader 5S Elite offers native compatibility with Microsoft’s consoles. It connects via cable and includes a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio support. The controller also supports Xbox-native vibration feedback across supported games.
Flydigi integrates its FORCEFLEX adjustable tension joystick system, allowing users to change stick resistance between 40gf and 100gf through a built-in physical adjustment mechanism. This gives players direct control over how the analog sticks respond, tailoring the feel to different genres and playstyles. Lighter tension can benefit racing games and fast-paced titles that rely on rapid directional changes, while increased resistance offers a firmer, more controlled input that may suit shooters and competitive gameplay.
The joysticks are built with updated Hall Effect sensors. Unlike traditional potentiometer-based sticks, Hall Effect sensors use magnetic detection to measure movement, which reduces wear over time. Flydigi states the sticks are designed to deliver improved recentering, zero drift behavior, zero deadzone input, and a lifespan rated for up to 10 million cycles.
The controller also introduces FORCE SWITCH dual-mode triggers. A physical switch allows players to toggle between micro mode and Hall Effect linear mode. Micro mode shortens trigger travel for faster actuation, which may benefit shooting games. Hall Effect linear mode enables progressive input control, making it suitable for racing or simulation titles that require throttle precision.
In addition to standard inputs, the Vader 5S Elite includes six programmable buttons. These consist of two rear buttons, two mini shoulder buttons, and Flydigi’s CZ customizable face buttons. The layout also features a rotary D-pad, dual shoulder buttons, and on-the-fly shortcut functions for remapping, vibration adjustment, profile switching, and volume control. Additional customization options are available through Flydigi’s companion software.
For haptic feedback, the controller integrates a four-motor vibration system covering both grips and triggers. The vibration is tuned for Xbox compatibility to deliver feedback during gameplay.
