Techland has released Title Update 1.3 for Dying Light: The Beast, bringing multiple gameplay, performance, and visual improvements. The update is available on all platforms and aims to refine player experience with better stability, bug fixes, and adjusted in-game balance.
The patch revises several core gameplay systems. Players can now obtain more oxidizers when looting, and the wiring cost for crafting and upgrading weapons has been reduced. Vendors now offer a wider range of crafting materials, especially in later stages of the game. Survivors encountered in the open world are now more durable against both player and enemy attacks, creating more consistent encounters.

Performance and stability improvements are a major part of this release. Techland has fixed several crash issues across all platforms and enhanced overall game stability during long play sessions. The update also addresses problems with creating new save files and resolves performance drops seen during co-op gameplay. Players should notice smoother frame rates and fewer stutters during extended sessions.
Visual quality has also received attention. The update fixes multiple issues related to texture streaming and level-of-detail loading, improving environmental consistency. Several lighting and visual artifacts present in specific missions and areas have been corrected. While the long-awaited Ray Tracing support is not yet included, Techland has confirmed it will arrive in a future patch.

The update further resolves camera behavior problems, animation errors, and smaller visual inconsistencies. These include corrections to object rendering, weapon animation bugs, and minor cutscene glitches. Players should see more polished transitions and fewer graphical distractions across different missions.
In addition to these changes, the patch refines the user interface and audio experience. It improves UI responsiveness on 4K displays, corrects key binding conflicts, and addresses translation and subtitle synchronization issues. Several sound effects have been replaced or balanced, including fixes to item usage sounds, guitar audio, and mini-boss battle effects.
Update 1.3 also resolves various quest progression issues. Fixes include problems in missions such as “Precious Cargo,” “Chain Reaction,” and “Hunting Yaga,” along with several co-op and AI-related bugs. These changes ensure smoother progression and reduce the risk of soft locks or mission interruptions.
Dying Light: The Beast Title Update 1.3 is now live on PC and consoles. On Steam, the patch will download automatically and is approximately 7.8GB in size. Players can review the complete changelog for detailed information on all fixes and improvements.
