DJI Mavic 4 Pro Set for April 24 Launch: Major Upgrades, 6K Video, and Triple-Camera System

DJI, the global leader in drone technology, is gearing up to launch its latest flagship RC Drone, the Mavic 4 Pro, on April 24, 2025. According to a recent report from DroneXL, the new model will bring several hardware and software upgrades, including an advanced triple-camera system and support for 6K video recording. The Mavic 4 Pro will be available in three different configurations, with prices starting at $2,250.

The Mavic 4 Pro retains DJI’s signature foldable design, making it easy to transport and store. However, the body now features a more rounded shape, contributing to improved aerodynamics. The drone weighs 1,044 grams, slightly heavier than its predecessor but offering enhanced durability and stability.

A major change is in the gimbal system, which now has a 360-degree rotation capability. This allows for more dynamic shooting angles and precise control. The gimbal design also resembles a surveillance camera, possibly hinting at improved tracking and stabilization features.

For extended flight sessions, the drone is powered by a new 6,654mAh intelligent flight battery, providing a maximum flight time of 52 minutes—a 15% increase compared to the previous Mavic 3 series.

DJI has focused on significant improvements with the Mavic 4 Pro, introducing the following seven major upgrades:

  1. Triple-Camera System: Equipped with three lenses: 28mm (wide-angle), 70mm (mid-telephoto), and 168mm (telephoto), providing better coverage for different shooting scenarios.
  2. 6K Video Recording & Improved Imaging: Features a 4/3-inch CMOS sensor, larger than the Mavic 3, allowing for higher-resolution captures and better low-light performance.
  3. New 360° Gimbal Design: The redesigned multi-directional gimbal enables more creative angles and improved control flexibility.
  4. Electronic ND Filter System: Removes the need for physical ND filters by offering built-in electronic adjustments, simplifying the shooting process.
  5. Extended Flight Time: A 15% increase in battery efficiency provides up to 52 minutes of flight time.
  6. Fast Charging Technology: With the leaked 240W charger specs, three smart batteries can be fully charged in just 90 minutes.
  7. Professional Remote Control: The new DJI RC Pro 2 comes with a 7-inch tiltable touch screen, offering improved handling and enhanced usability.

DJI is set to launch the Mavic 4 Pro in three different configurations:

  • Standard Edition (includes RC2 remote controller) – $2,250
  • Pro Flight Expansion Kit (includes RC2 controller and additional accessories) – $3,200
  • Creator Ultimate Package (512GB internal storage + RC Pro 2 controller) – $4,400

With the Mavic 4 Pro, DJI continues to push the boundaries of drone technology, catering to professional filmmakers, photographers, and drone enthusiasts. The combination of a triple-camera system, 6K recording, improved battery life, and advanced gimbal design makes this a compelling upgrade for those looking for high-quality aerial footage.

As the April 24 launch date approaches, more details will likely emerge, confirming whether DJI’s latest offering lives up to the expectations set by these leaks. For now, the Mavic 4 Pro appears to be shaping up as one of the most feature-packed consumer drones on the market in 2025.
