KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, in collaboration with Nixxes Software, has officially announced that DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH will launch on PC on March 19, 2026, with pre-purchase now available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The standalone sequel expands on the original game, offering new tools, weapons, and vehicles as Sam bridges Australia to the Chiral network.
Players will face enemies, natural disasters including earthquakes, sandstorms, and forest fires, and the mysterious Timefall as they strive to save humanity once more. The Social Strand System returns, enabling players worldwide to impact each other’s worlds and shape the game’s progression through their actions.
The PC edition comes with full support for Ultrawide monitors, including 21:9 for gameplay and cutscenes, and 32:9 Super Ultrawide for PC in 4K resolution. Gamers can enjoy mouse and keyboard customization or the full experience with the DualSense controller featuring haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Audio options include 3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, and Windows Sonic for Headphones, offering an immersive sound experience.
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS confirmed that new modes and features will launch simultaneously on PC and PS5, bringing fresh challenges and rewards. More details on these additions will be shared next month.
