DarkFlash has officially announced the FLOATRON F1, a microATX PC chassis designed to provide improved airflow and hardware flexibility through a floating extended base structure. Targeted at PC builders who prioritize cooling performance and component clearance, the case incorporates multiple fan mounting options, a vertical air duct layout, and a tool-free access system.
The FLOATRON F1 is constructed from 0.8 mm SPCC steel and will be offered in Black and White color options. The case dimensions measure 431 x 240 x 421 mm, with an overall footprint of 436 x 240 x 436 mm when accounting for the floating extended base. This design not only contributes to additional airflow but also acts as a support structure for system aesthetics, giving builders space to incorporate custom lighting or display elements.

The chassis supports microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. Graphics cards up to 350 mm in length and CPU coolers up to 185 mm in height are accommodated, alongside five PCIe expansion slots. This makes the FLOATRON F1 suitable for mid-range and high-performance builds requiring larger GPUs or taller cooling solutions.
For storage, the FLOATRON F1 includes mounting options for up to three 2.5-inch SSDs and three 3.5-inch HDDs, offering flexibility for both fast storage and larger capacity drives.

Cooling capacity is a key highlight of the FLOATRON F1. The chassis supports up to nine fans and radiators up to 360 mm in size, mounted at the top. The supported configurations include three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans on the top panel, two 120 mm or two 140 mm fans on the side, one 120 mm or one 140 mm fan at the rear, and three 120 mm fans at the bottom.
The case adopts a vertical air duct layout, designed to channel airflow efficiently through the system. Ventilation openings are integrated into the side, top, bottom, and rear panels, ensuring continuous circulation around critical components. According to darkFlash, the floating extended base enhances GPU cooling efficiency and may reduce graphics card temperatures by 5–7 °C under load.
To simplify installation and upgrades, the FLOATRON F1 is equipped with a clamshell-style side panel that operates with a screwless, tool-free mechanism. This design makes it easier for users to access internal components without additional tools. The base structure also provides additional clearance for cooling and doubles as a display zone for builders who want to showcase lighting effects or decorative hardware elements.

The case includes modern front I/O options with one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio jacks, and dedicated power and reset buttons. This ensures compatibility with contemporary peripherals and provides convenient access for day-to-day use.
At the time of announcement, darkFlash had not provided an official release date or retail pricing for the FLOATRON F1. Further details on availability are expected to be shared by the company closer to launch.
