Bethesda has given players a reason to speculate about the next stage of Starfield content. As part of the game’s two-year anniversary celebrations, the developer posted a short message on its official Starfield X (formerly Twitter) account, thanking fans for supporting the game since its launch in 2023.
The post read, “Celebrating two incredible years in Starfield. Thank you to everyone who has explored the Settled Systems with us. We look forward to the adventures yet to come.” Alongside the message was a video that quickly gained attention within the community.
The short clip included in Bethesda’s post has prompted speculation among fans. Viewers on Reddit claim the footage may have revealed the title of the second major expansion, with many believing it will be called Terran Armada. While Bethesda has not confirmed this, the teaser follows a similar pattern to how the Shattered Space expansion was first hinted at before its official announcement.
Additional hints about the expansion came from a recent developer spotlight video. Tim Lamb, lead creative producer at Bethesda, addressed upcoming plans for Starfield. He mentioned ongoing work on both free updates and a new paid story expansion.

“We have some cool stuff coming,” Lamb said. “Including free updates and features the players have been asking for, as well as a new DLC story. I can’t go into all the details just yet, but I will say part of the team has been focused on space gameplay to make the travels there more rewarding.”
Bethesda released Shattered Space, the first major expansion, in late 2024. That DLC added a new storyline, fresh locations, and gameplay systems to the Settled Systems. With the recent anniversary post and Lamb’s comments, it appears the studio is preparing for another major content drop.
If the Terran Armada title is accurate, it may point toward a story involving large-scale space conflicts or faction-driven campaigns. While no release window has been confirmed, current hints suggest a reveal could happen in 2025, with more details expected in the coming months.
