During its 2025–2026 Strategy Sharing Session, Ayaneo revealed the Ayaneo Pocket Vert, an Android-powered handheld aimed at retro gaming and mobile titles. The announcement came alongside the launch of the Strix Halo-powered Ayaneo Next 2, giving a first look at the company’s upcoming product roadmap.
The Pocket Vert is designed with a focus on retro game emulation while also supporting portrait-orientation Android games. However, Ayaneo has not confirmed how well current mobile games will run or if extra configuration will be needed.

Specifications remain limited, but Ayaneo stated that the device will feature an “ultra-HD” display, which may indicate a 4K resolution. The screen’s exact size and aspect ratio are not yet disclosed, though options such as 1:1 or 2:3 appear possible based on the handheld’s intended use case.

Ayaneo shared a preview image that hints at the Pocket Vert’s design. The device seems to use a two-part structure, with the top section dedicated to the display and the lower section housing controls in a thicker, angular form. Materials have not been confirmed, though Ayaneo mentioned premium construction, potentially including an aluminium frame. Unlike the Pocket DS or Slide, the Vert does not appear to feature moving mechanisms like flip-out or sliding displays.
Further details, including performance hardware, pricing, and release information, are expected closer to launch. The Pocket Vert is positioned as part of Ayaneo’s broader handheld lineup, offering a new option for players interested in both retro and mobile gaming experiences.
