ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the ROG Strix GS-BE7200, a new dual-band Wi-Fi 7 gaming router built to deliver high-speed wireless connectivity with low latency. Based on the latest 802.11be standard, the router is designed for gamers and power users who rely on stable network performance for online play, streaming, and large data transfers.
The ROG Strix GS-BE7200 supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which allows multiple frequency bands to be used simultaneously for improved efficiency. It also features 160 MHz channel bandwidth and 4K-QAM modulation to increase overall network capacity. According to ASUS, the router can reach combined wireless speeds of up to 7200 Mbps, helping maintain consistent performance in busy network environments.
To improve coverage and signal strength, the GS-BE7200 is equipped with six internal antennas. This includes an enhanced 5 GHz antenna system using a 5T5R configuration. ASUS states that this design improves long-range throughput by up to 15% compared to standard 4T4R solutions, making it more suitable for multi-room homes and larger setups.
The router includes the ROG Gaming Network, which is designed to prioritize gaming traffic and reduce latency during competitive play. Support for Wi-Fi 7 AiMesh allows users to expand coverage by connecting compatible ASUS routers, creating a unified network across the home.
For smart home and network management, the GS-BE7200 features Smart Home Master. This tool enables users to set up separate networks for children, IoT devices, and VPN usage. The router supports up to 30 VPN clients and includes compatibility with WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPSec protocols.
Security features are handled through ASUS Network Security, which includes AiProtection and Safe Browsing. These features help protect connected devices and manage online risks without additional configuration.
With the launch of the ROG Strix GS-BE7200, ASUS continues to expand its Wi-Fi 7 product lineup, focusing on gaming-focused networking hardware with advanced wireless performance and flexible management options.
