ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has added a new model to its Azoth series with the launch of the Azoth 96 HE. The Azoth 96 HE replaces the ROG NX switches used in earlier versions with magnetic ROG HFX V2 switches. Users can adjust the actuation point between 0.1 mm and 3.5 mm, with precise 0.01 mm-step tuning. Each key is individually calibrated during production, allowing consistent key travel and response accuracy.
The keyboard includes the ROG Hall sensor, designed for 0.01 mm detection accuracy and improved tolerance to magnetic flux changes. This helps maintain stable input performance while reducing power consumption. The setup supports Rapid Trigger functionality, which ensures quick key activation during intensive gameplay.
Connectivity options include ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB. The Azoth 96 HE can link with up to five devices and provides true 8000 Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes without the need for extra hardware.
A 1.47-inch full-color touchscreen displays keyboard and system information. It is paired with a three-way control knob that allows users to adjust actuation points and trigger sensitivity directly on the device.
For a smoother typing experience, the keyboard uses a gasket-mounted structure with six dampening layers, including four PORON sheets, an IXPE pad, and a silicone base layer. These materials help absorb vibration and reduce key noise. The gasket firmness can also be adjusted by changing the internal dampening layers.
