ASUS Releases ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition with 6.5 Grams of Gold, Priced from Around $7,000

ASUS has introduced a new high-end graphics card, the ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition, designed specifically for the Middle Eastern market. The card focuses on luxury and regional design elements, with a price tag that reflects its limited production and premium materials.

The ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab features a custom design titled “From Desert to Blue Sky.” The exterior includes patterns that resemble modern skyscrapers, while Arabic calligraphy is integrated into the fan assembly. ASUS says the design represents a combination of tradition and modern development in the region.

The card features 6.5 grams of 999-purity gold plating applied to parts of its surface. This pure gold layer gives it a striking visual appeal and is designed to enhance its value as a collector’s item and display piece.

The card comes equipped with four cooling fans, a configuration that is uncommon for most consumer graphics cards. This setup is likely intended to help manage the heat generated by the powerful GPU, especially given the added weight and complexity of the customized shroud.

In terms of performance, the Dhahab edition is technically the same as the standard ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090. It includes the same GPU core, memory configuration, and power specifications. It also works with ASUS’s GPU Tweak III software, which allows users to control fan speeds, power limits, and clock speeds.

This graphics card is not being sold worldwide. It is currently available only in select Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. Prices vary by country:

  • In Saudi Arabia, it is priced between 26,000 and 30,000 riyals, which is roughly $6,700 to $8,000.
  • In Jordan, it is selling for 5,000 dinars, or about $7,100.
  • In the UAE, the price is set at 38,800 dirhams, around $10,600.

There is no information yet on whether ASUS plans to release the Dhahab edition outside the Middle East. Based on its design and pricing, this product is clearly aimed at buyers who are looking for something unique that also serves as a functional, high-performance graphics card.
