ASUS ExpertBook B5 G2 Announced with Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3, 50 TOPS AI, and Enterprise Security

ASUS has introduced the ASUS ExpertBook B5 G2, a new Copilot+ PC built for enterprise users seeking AI acceleration, strong security, and a portable design. The LAPTOP weighs around 1.38 kg and features an aluminium chassis paired with a 180-degree lay-flat hinge, making it suitable for mobile professionals and collaborative office environments.

The system is powered by up to the Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 processor, supported by integrated Intel graphics and a neural processing unit capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. This configuration is designed to handle multitasking, productivity suites, data-heavy workloads, and AI-enhanced applications used in corporate settings. ASUS rates the battery life at up to 19 hours, targeting users who need extended operation away from a power outlet.

The ExpertBook B5 G2 qualifies as a Copilot+ PC and integrates features from Microsoft Copilot within Windows. These include Recall for retrieving previous on-screen activity, Live Captions for real-time transcription, Windows Studio Effects for video calls, improved Windows Search, and Click to Do task assistance. Together, these tools are designed to reduce manual work and improve efficiency across daily workflows.

ASUS also includes its own MyExpert suite, offering AI-based writing assistance, intelligent email search, and meeting support tools that can generate transcripts, summaries, and action items automatically. On the security front, ASUS integrates its ExpertGuardian framework. The laptop complies with NIST SP 800-193 guidelines for platform firmware resilience. The device supports FIDO2 authentication and includes a discrete TPM 2.0 chip for secure storage of credentials and encryption keys. ASUS states that the ExpertBook B5 G2 will receive five years of firmware and software updates, aligning with enterprise lifecycle expectations.

The laptop is offered in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, both using a 16:10 NanoEdge display with anti-glare coating and TÜV Rheinland-certified eye care technology. Audio features include dual speakers with Dirac tuning, dual-array microphones, and AI voice enhancement for clearer conferencing.

Durability remains a priority, with the chassis meeting US MIL-STD-810H standards and undergoing internal stress tests, including a 60,000-cycle wear assessment. Cooling is managed through fluid-dynamic bearing fans, thinner heatsink fins, and a dust filter to maintain thermal efficiency over time.

Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet, a microSD card slot, an optional smart card reader, and Kensington Nano lock support. The system also supports up to Wi-Fi 7 for improved wireless performance. IT departments can take advantage of BIOS customization, image deployment services, and branding options to streamline large-scale rollouts.
