Embark Studios has shared the 2025 content roadmap for Arc Raiders, outlining the upcoming updates planned for the remainder of the year. The announcement follows the successful launch of the studio’s new battle royale title, which arrived earlier this year to a positive reception. Known for developing The Finals, Embark appears to be taking an active approach in shaping Arc Raiders’ post-launch journey, focusing on regular updates and community-driven content.
According to the official blog post, the roadmap highlights two major updates scheduled before the end of 2025—North Line in November and Cold Snap in December. Both updates will introduce new quests, fresh gameplay elements, and community events, offering players more reasons to return to the game. While both share a similar foundation, they differ in their content focus and seasonal themes.
The first update, North Line, will expand the game’s playable world with a new map, adding fresh locations and environmental challenges. It will also include two new Arc enemy types, which are expected to change how players approach combat encounters. Additionally, new in-game items—likely a mix of weapons and utility tools—will become available alongside a community unlock event that encourages cooperative play. This update aims to enrich the core gameplay loop while keeping the community engaged with fresh objectives.
Following that, the Cold Snap update is planned for December and will bring a winter theme to the game. One of its main additions is the “snowfall” map condition, which will introduce new environmental effects that could influence gameplay dynamics. The update will also feature the Flickering Flames event, a new raider deck (similar to a seasonal battle pass), and the beginning of the expedition departure window. Based on Embark’s earlier communication, this update is expected to be released around December 14, aligning with the end of the first expedition project.
Beyond these major releases, Embark also confirmed ongoing work on new cosmetics, feats, and trials that will be part of future updates. These additions suggest a continuous content pipeline extending into 2025, designed to keep the experience evolving through both seasonal and gameplay-driven updates.
