The announcement comes after the game reached a new peak of over 700,000 concurrent players on Steam this past weekend, highlighting strong player engagement and interest.
Lee Jeong-hun, CEO of Nexon, expressed his congratulations to Embark Studios for the achievement. He noted the enthusiasm of the game’s community and emphasized Nexon’s plans to expand content with new maps, ARC vehicles, weapons, and quests, which are set to become available starting this month. These updates aim to maintain player engagement and provide additional challenges within the game’s PvPvE framework.
Industry analytics had previously estimated that ARC Raiders sold 2.5 million units during its first week. The recent sales figures suggest that the game has continued to grow in its second week on the market, demonstrating strong and sustained momentum. ARC Raiders is the second title released by Embark Studios, which was founded by former Battlefield developers who previously worked at DICE. Their first game, The Finals, is a competitive free-to-play first-person shooter focused on arena matches. Following the launch of ARC Raiders, the studio has introduced new gameplay elements, including electromagnetic storms in maps such as Blue Gate, Spaceport, and Dam Battlegrounds, along with a night raid mode in Blue Gate.
