Konami is planning at least two more waves of Silent Hill games as the company continues its effort to revive the long-running horror franchise. Series producer Motoi Okamoto discussed the future of the series in an interview with Japanese publication Famitsu (via Game Observer), confirming that the team is already considering its next projects following the recent releases.
The first wave of Konami’s revival included the Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall. According to Okamoto, the results have been encouraging, giving the team confidence to continue developing the franchise rather than treating its return as a one-time effort.

Explained that the company needs to start thinking about the second and third waves of Silent Hill games. Although he did not reveal specific titles or release dates, he confirmed that multiple projects are being considered. This leaves room for new entries, additional remakes, and spin-offs, although Konami has yet to confirm which direction its upcoming games will take.

The producer previously emphasized the importance of bringing several projects to the table when announcing the franchise’s revival. Following the cancellation of Silent Hills, the series had spent years without a major new release. Konami’s decision to pursue multiple games signaled a broader commitment to the franchise.
A remake of the original Silent Hill is also among the upcoming projects, while the recently released games have explored different settings and styles of horror. Silent Hill f, for example, takes players to 1960s Japan, offering a different atmosphere from the familiar town that gave the series its name.
Konami has not confirmed the full lineup for the next two waves, and details about development schedules remain limited. However, Okamoto’s comments suggest that the company intends to keep Silent Hill active for years to come. Fans can expect further announcements as the publisher reveals more information about its plans.
