Ugreen Launches ClipBuds Pro 2 Open-Ear Earbuds With AI Translation and 6-Mic Call System

Ugreen is expanding its audio lineup with the ClipBuds Pro 2, a new pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds aimed at users who spend their day moving between work calls, commuting, and entertainment. Instead of sealing the ear canal like conventional in-ear models, the ClipBuds Pro 2 use a lightweight clip-on design that keeps users aware of their surroundings while adding features such as LDAC audio, AI-powered voice processing, translation, transcription, and meeting summaries.

The new earbuds are built around Ugreen’s focus on clearer calls and richer sound. For voice communication, the ClipBuds Pro 2 use a six-microphone system made up of four microphones and two bone-conduction Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) sensors. The VPU sensors detect vibrations produced when the user speaks, giving the system another way to distinguish the user’s voice from background noise.

Ugreen combines this setup with AI-enhanced noise reduction to handle sounds such as office conversations, traffic, and wind. The company says the system is designed to maintain clear voice pickup in environments with noise levels reaching 75dB. That makes the earbuds particularly suited to users who regularly take calls outside the home or work in busy shared spaces.

For music playback, the ClipBuds Pro 2 feature custom 11mm dual-magnet titanium-composite drivers. They also support Hi-Res Wireless certification and LDAC high-bitrate transmission, giving compatible devices the option to send higher-bitrate wireless audio. Ugreen has included a Bass Mode for users who want more low-frequency weight, while spatial audio is intended to create a wider presentation for music, podcasts, and movies.

The open-ear design does not mean the earbuds simply direct sound outward. Ugreen uses directional acoustics to focus audio toward the user’s ears while attempting to reduce leakage. This can be useful in offices, cafes, and other shared environments where users may want to listen to audio without completely blocking out people or sounds around them.

Ugreen also worked with four-time Grammy Award winner Terri Lyne Carrington on the sound tuning. The collaboration focuses on balancing vocals, instruments, and rhythm while maintaining the open and spacious character of the earbuds.

Comfort is another part of the ClipBuds Pro 2 design. Each earbud weighs approximately 6 grams, while an integrated C-bridge uses a 0.5mm memory-titanium core. The flexible bridge is designed to adapt to different ear shapes and distribute pressure more evenly. The open-ear construction leaves the ear canal unobstructed, which can be useful during extended meetings, commutes, and everyday use.

The ClipBuds Pro 2 also bring several software-focused features that go beyond audio playback. Ugreen says the earbuds use advanced speech recognition alongside AI models including GPT and Gemini to support simultaneous translation and face-to-face translation in more than 130 languages. Users can also access live recording, transcription, and AI-generated meeting summaries, giving the earbuds a role in work and communication rather than just music playback.

Dual-device connectivity allows the ClipBuds Pro 2 to remain connected to a laptop and smartphone, helping users move between computer meetings and phone calls. Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours from the earbuds on a single charge, while the charging case extends total listening time to up to 46 hours.

The Ugreen ClipBuds Pro 2 are now available with an MSRP of $99.99 through the Ugreen Official Store and Amazon. At this price, Ugreen is combining an open-ear form factor with higher-bitrate wireless audio, a six-microphone voice system, AI-powered communication tools, and extended battery life, making the ClipBuds Pro 2 one of the company’s more feature-focused audio products.
