FEVM has started taking pre-orders for the FAEX2, a compact mini PC built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor and available with up to 192GB of high-speed LPDDR5X memory. Despite its roughly 1-liter chassis, the system includes multiple storage options, high-speed networking, and a wide selection of display and USB connectivity.
The FAEX2 is available in 128GB and 192GB LPDDR5X-8533 configurations, with SSD storage sold separately. The 128GB model is priced at 21,599 yuan, which is around $3,020, while the 192GB version costs 43,599 yuan, or approximately $6,100 based on current exchange rates. The price difference is particularly large, as the 192GB configuration costs about twice as much as the 128GB model.
That makes the 128GB version an interesting option for buyers who need a large amount of memory without paying for the highest-capacity configuration. In fact, the price of one 192GB FAEX2 is enough to purchase two 128GB units with some money remaining.
FEVM has fitted the FAEX2 with a CNC-machined aluminum alloy chassis and supports up to 160W performance power. The mini PC provides three M.2 2280 slots supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs, giving users considerable flexibility when configuring storage. However, the OCuLink connection shares resources with one of the M.2 slots, meaning both cannot be used at the same time.
Wireless connectivity comes from a MediaTek MT7925 adapter with Wi-Fi 7 support at 160MHz and Bluetooth 5.4. The wired networking setup is also aimed at demanding workloads, with both 10GbE and 2.5GbE RJ-45 ports included.
The FAEX2’s connectivity extends to an SD UHS-II card reader, USB-C 40Gbps, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, two USB-A 10Gbps ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and OCuLink. With its combination of AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO platform, high-capacity memory, multiple SSD slots, and fast networking, the FAEX2 is positioned as a compact system for users who need more memory and expansion than typical mini PCs provide.
Pre-orders are now open, although the listed yuan prices are subject to regional availability, taxes, shipping costs, and currency fluctuations.
