Razer Launches Kraken V4 X Gaming Headset With Haptic Feedback Support for 100+ PC Games

Razer is bringing physical feedback directly into PC gaming with the new Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition, a wired gaming headset designed to let players feel explosions, gunfire, footsteps, and other supported in-game events. The headset combines Razer’s Sensa HD Haptics technology with 40 mm drivers, 7.1 surround sound, a cardioid microphone, memory foam cushions, and Chroma RGB lighting.

The biggest change comes from the Sensa HD Haptics system, which Razer says is supported across more than 100 PC games. Rather than relying on a simple vibration effect, the technology can vary its response based on the intensity, duration, and position of an event. A nearby explosion can therefore produce a different physical sensation from one happening farther away, while smaller sounds such as footsteps can generate more subtle feedback.

The three-part driver design separately handles high, mid, and low frequencies, while 7.1 Surround Sound is designed to provide positional audio during gameplay. This can help players locate sounds such as footsteps, gunfire, and other in-game events.

Voice communication is handled by a Razer HyperClear Cardioid Microphone. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the user’s voice while reducing unwanted sounds from the surrounding environment, making it suitable for multiplayer gaming and voice chat.

The headset also uses FlowKnit Memory Foam Cushions, combining breathable fabric with cushioning designed for extended gaming sessions.
