Mobile gaming is no longer limited to tapping a touchscreen, and GXTrust is targeting players who want more traditional controls without carrying a full-size console controller. The company has launched the Rovix Bluetooth Wireless Mobile Gaming Controller, a compact gamepad designed to turn an iPhone or Android smartphone into a more conventional gaming setup.
The Rovix uses Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity and supports controller-compatible games across iOS and Android. Its usefulness also extends beyond native mobile titles, with GXTrust positioning the controller for cloud gaming and remote game streaming. Players can use it with supported PlayStation and Xbox cloud gaming services or stream PC games to their smartphone when they are away from their main gaming system.
GXTrust has focused much of the controller’s hardware on durability and precise input. The Rovix features Hall effect joysticks, which use magnetic sensing instead of traditional contact-based mechanisms and are designed to reduce the risk of stick drift. The controller also includes pressure-sensitive Hall effect triggers, making it possible to adjust input depending on how far a trigger is pressed.
The controller has 20 buttons in total, including two programmable buttons on the rear. These can be assigned to different functions, giving players additional controls without having to move their thumbs away from the main sticks.
The Rovix also includes a rubberized, spring-loaded phone clamp designed to keep a smartphone securely in place during gameplay. A built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 12 hours of playtime, giving the controller enough battery capacity for extended gaming sessions away from a charger.
GXTrust also includes several accessories aimed at users who want to carry and customize the controller. The package comes with a protective hard case, two pairs of magnetic swappable faceplates, and a changeable D-pad.
