LAMZU has officially introduced the Orcus, a new lightweight gaming mouse designed for players who prefer finger-grip control and compact shapes. The latest model combines a transparent frosted shell design with high-performance internal hardware, targeting competitive gamers who focus on precision, speed, and low input latency.
The LAMZU Orcus measures 92 × 56 × 35mm and weighs only 38 ± 2 grams, making it suitable for users looking for a lightweight option without a large body design. The mouse features a narrow waist, low rear section, and elevated main button structure, which are designed to support different finger positions during fast-paced gameplay.
According to LAMZU, the Orcus includes a larger button area compared with similar finger-grip mice, offering around a 25% increase in button surface area. The left and right buttons feature metal nameplate decorations, while the transparent bottom shell includes a three-dimensional skull relief design that gives the mouse a unique appearance.
The Orcus is powered by the Nordic nRF54H20 SoC on both the mouse and receiver side, allowing support for an 8KHz polling rate. This technology enables more frequent communication between the mouse and PC, helping reduce response times during gaming.
For tracking performance, LAMZU has equipped the Orcus with the PixArt PAW NEXT I sensor. The sensor supports up to 50,000 CPI, 880 IPS tracking speed, and 80G acceleration, providing accurate movement detection for competitive FPS titles and other fast-action games.
The mouse also uses tuned optical micro-switches with a claimed click latency of 0.176ms. Optical switches avoid traditional mechanical contact points, which can help improve response consistency and durability.
To improve grip during extended gaming sessions, the surface of the Orcus features a sweat-resistant and anti-slip nano coating. This coating is designed to maintain control even during longer gameplay periods.
The launch of the Orcus continues LAMZU’s focus on lightweight gaming peripherals. The company has previously released several mice aimed at esports players, with designs focused on reducing weight while maintaining sensor performance and wireless features.
