Xiaomi Mi Pad 8S Pro Specs Leak Reveals Xring O3 Chip and 120W Fast Charging

A new leak has revealed what could be Xiaomi’s next premium Android tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 8S Pro. The information comes from Chinese leaker Panda on Weibo, who shared several key hardware details, including the display, cameras, battery, charging speed, and processor. The leak also offers a glimpse at Xiaomi’s plans for its next-generation in-house chipset, which may power more than one flagship device.

According to the leaked information, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 8S Pro will feature a 12.5-inch LCD Screen with a 3.2K resolution. This would make the screen slightly larger than the current Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 Pro while maintaining a high-resolution panel aimed at entertainment, productivity, and gaming. The front of the tablet is expected to include a 32MP selfie camera, while the rear may feature a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP auxiliary sensor.

The biggest upgrade could be the introduction of Xiaomi’s Xring O3 processor. Xiaomi has been expanding its in-house chip development, and the Xring O3 is expected to become the company’s latest flagship chipset. While detailed performance information has not yet been shared, the move suggests Xiaomi is continuing to reduce its dependence on third-party mobile processors for some premium devices.

Battery capacity also appears to receive a significant upgrade. The leak claims the tablet will include a 12,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. If these specifications are accurate, the Mi Pad 8S Pro would offer one of the largest batteries in Xiaomi’s tablet lineup while also delivering some of the fastest charging speeds available in the Android tablet market.

The leaker further mentioned in the comments section that the Xring O3 processor is currently being introduced first in tablets and foldable devices. This has fueled speculation that the upcoming Xiaomi MIX Fold5 will also use the same chipset. Previous leaks from the same source suggested the foldable smartphone will feature a horizontal rear camera layout, a self-developed seamless hinge, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is also expected to launch as a premium flagship with a price in the 10,000-yuan range.

For comparison, the current Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 Pro features an 11.2-inch 3.2K eye-protection display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra mobile platform. The leaked Mi Pad 8S Pro appears to bring improvements in screen size, battery capacity, charging speed, camera hardware, and processing platform, making it a major refresh over the previous model.
