Minisforum MS-03 Mini PC Introduced with Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, PCIe x8 Expansion, and Quad High-Speed Networking

Minisforum has shared more details about its upcoming MS-03 Workstation mini PC, a compact desktop that was first introduced during Computex 2026. Designed for productivity, NAS deployments, edge computing, and local AI workloads, the new Mini PC combines Intel’s latest Panther Lake processor with extensive storage support, enterprise networking, and internal expansion options that are rarely seen in a mini PC.

The MS-03 is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 386H, a mobile processor with a default 25 W power rating that can boost up to 80 W when additional performance is needed. The processor features four Performance cores, eight Efficient cores, four Low-Power Efficient cores, and Intel Arc Xe3 integrated graphics. While the integrated GPU is capable of handling everyday graphics tasks and AI acceleration, the system is primarily designed for workstation and server-related workloads rather than demanding gaming or professional GPU rendering.

Storage flexibility is one of the biggest highlights of the MS-03. Minisforum has equipped the system with three M.2 slots, each capable of supporting SSDs up to 8 TB. The company also includes an adapter that enables support for U.2 enterprise SSDs with capacities reaching 15 TB. Users who require additional storage or specialized hardware can also make use of the built-in full-size PCIe x8 expansion slot.

The aluminum chassis has been designed with future upgrades in mind. Instead of requiring complete disassembly, the MS-03 features a slide-out motherboard tray that allows easier access to internal components. Although the processor is soldered onto the motherboard, users can upgrade the memory using DDR5-7200 SO-DIMM modules, with support for up to 128 GB of RAM.

Another feature that separates the MS-03 from many compact PCs is its networking configuration. The system offers multiple high-speed Ethernet connections for business environments, NAS setups, virtualization, and server applications. Intel vPro remote management is also included for enterprise users, while Wi-Fi 7 provides the latest wireless connectivity.

Key specifications of the Minisforum MS-03 include:

  • Intel Core Ultra 9 386H (Panther Lake) processor
  • 4 Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores, and 4 Low-Power Efficient cores
  • Intel Arc Xe3 integrated graphics
  • Three M.2 SSD slots supporting up to 8 TB each
  • U.2 SSD adapter supporting drives up to 15 TB
  • Full-size PCIe x8 expansion slot
  • Up to 128 GB DDR5-7200 SO-DIMM memory
  • Dual 10GbE SFP+ ports
  • One 10GbE RJ45 Ethernet port
  • One 2.5GbE RJ45 Ethernet port
  • Dual USB4 ports
  • Three front USB Type-A ports
  • Built-in Wi-Fi 7
  • Intel vPro support
  • Aluminum chassis with slide-out motherboard tray

The PCIe x8 slot also opens the door for low-power graphics cards or additional expansion cards. However, since there is no dedicated GPU power connector inside the chassis, installed graphics cards are limited to the 75 W supplied through the PCIe slot. Users will also need to consider the available internal space when selecting compatible hardware.

Minisforum has not announced official pricing or availability for the MS-03 at this time. With its combination of high-speed networking, extensive storage support, upgradeable memory, and PCIe expansion, the compact workstation is expected to appeal to professionals, developers, and enthusiasts looking for a space-saving system for NAS, AI, virtualization, and productivity workloads.
