CHERRY XTRFY Introduces K63W Pro Compact Gaming Keyboard with UWB Tech at Computex 2026

At Computex 2026, CHERRY XTRFY introduced the K63W Pro Compact, a wireless gaming keyboard built around a new approach to low-latency input. The key highlight is the use of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which aims to move beyond traditional 2.4GHz wireless limitations. By spreading data across a wider frequency range and sending it in short bursts, the system is designed to reduce interference and improve timing accuracy in busy wireless environments.

The K63W Pro Compact also supports a true 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. This means the keyboard can report inputs up to eight times per millisecond, matching the response expectations of competitive gaming hardware. CHERRY XTRFY is positioning this combination of UWB and high polling as a way to bring wired-level performance to a wireless setup without compromising stability.

Power efficiency is another focus of the design. The keyboard comes equipped with a 6000mAh battery, and when combined with UWB’s lower energy usage, it is expected to deliver extended gaming and typing sessions without frequent charging. This makes it suitable for users who want high performance without being tied to a cable.

The design also shifts toward a compact 70% layout, keeping the function row while reducing overall width. This gives players more desk space for mouse movement, which is often a key factor in competitive gaming setups. The keyboard uses CHERRY MX Low Profile 2.0 switches paired with a tuned gasket structure, aiming to refine both sound and feel. The result is a quieter and softer typing experience compared to typical low-profile mechanical keyboards.

According to CHERRY XTRFY, the goal was to combine fast wireless performance with a more refined typing feel that works well for both gaming and everyday use.
