NuPhy Expands Air V3 Series with Air65 V3 and Air100 V3 Low-Profile Tri-Mode Mechanical Keyboards

Keyboard manufacturer NuPhy has expanded its Air V3 lineup with the introduction of the Air65 V3 and Air100 V3, offering additional layout options for users who prefer low-profile mechanical keyboards. The new models follow the previously released 75% version and aim to provide flexibility for both compact and full-size setups while maintaining the design approach seen across the Air V3 series.

Both keyboards feature a slim chassis measuring 13.2mm, combining an aluminum alloy top cover with an ABS bottom shell. The design focuses on keeping the keyboard lightweight while maintaining structural rigidity. Users can select between three typing angles—4°, 8°, and 10°—which allows some adjustment depending on desk setup and comfort preference.

Internally, the Air65 V3 and Air100 V3 use a gasket-mounted structure paired with a polycarbonate positioning plate. NuPhy has also included a four-layer sound-dampening configuration to help manage keystroke acoustics and reduce internal vibration. This construction method has become more common in enthusiast-focused keyboards, particularly in models that prioritize quieter typing.

The Air V3 series integrates a 2500mAh battery rated for up to 750 hours of use, or approximately 90 days depending on lighting and connectivity settings. As part of its tri-mode design, the keyboard supports both wireless and wired connectivity, allowing it to be used across multiple devices, including desktops, laptops, and tablets.

NuPhy equips the Air65 V3 and Air100 V3 with low-profile MX-style switches featuring a total key travel of 3.5 mm. The switches use POM material and are available in multiple variants, including a lighter 42 gf option, a 45 gf linear configuration, and a 50 gf tactile alternative. The keyboard also maintains compatibility with most high-profile switch mounts, offering some room for customization.

The included keycaps are made from PBT material using a double-shot molding process for improved durability over time. Legends are designed with native macOS compatibility, though the keyboard can also be used with Windows systems. Additional features include a detachable, customizable knob and rhythmic backlighting, providing users with basic personalization options without changing the low-profile form factor.
