Razer has introduced the Pro Type Ergo Tri-Mode Wireless Keyboard, expanding its productivity-focused peripheral lineup with a design centered on long-term comfort and flexible connectivity. The keyboard adopts a split ergonomic layout inspired by the 3D Alice-style arrangement, which separates key clusters to create a more natural hand position during extended typing sessions. Razer refers to the layout as a split ergonomic design, aimed at users who spend long hours working across documents, spreadsheets, or creative software.

The Pro Type Ergo features a 10% base slope and supports five different input angles, allowing users to adjust the typing position depending on desk height or seating posture. Supported positions include a flat horizontal setup, 4° and 7° forward tilt, and 4° and 7° backward tilt. This range of positioning options is designed to provide flexibility for users seeking a more relaxed wrist posture throughout the day. Razer includes a velvet wrist rest to complement the ergonomic approach, offering additional support during long typing sessions.
The keyboard uses low-profile spherical concave keycaps that follow the natural curve of the fingertips, helping maintain consistent typing accuracy over extended periods of use. The layout also introduces several functional elements to improve workflow efficiency, including dual B keys on both sides of the split layout and three spacebars. The center spacebar can be reassigned as a backspace key, allowing users to experiment with alternative typing habits or shortcuts.

Additional productivity-focused controls include five dedicated macro keys labeled M1 through M5 on the left side, providing quick access to frequently used commands or application shortcuts. Rotary knobs positioned in the upper-left and upper-right corners can be customized for functions such as volume control, scrolling, or timeline navigation in creative software. A microphone mute button is placed in the upper-right corner, alongside a dedicated AI button for quick access to supported software features.
The Pro Type Ergo Tri-Mode Wireless Keyboard supports simultaneous connections to up to five devices, allowing users to switch between systems without repeated pairing. The tri-mode capability provides multiple connection methods, enabling compatibility with desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Razer rates the battery life at up to three months on a full charge, depending on usage conditions and lighting preferences.

Despite its productivity-oriented design, the keyboard still features 19-zone Razer Chroma RGB lighting, allowing users to configure subtle illumination effects or match existing desktop setups. The addition of RGB lighting maintains visual consistency with other Razer peripherals while keeping the overall design suitable for office environments. The Pro Type Ergo Tri-Mode Wireless Keyboard reflects a continued effort to expand ergonomic options within the wireless productivity keyboard category.
