The keyboard adopts a split ergonomic layout inspired by the 3D Alice-style arrangement, which separates key clusters to create a more natural hand position during extended typing sessions. Razer refers to the layout as a split ergonomic design, aimed at users who spend long hours working across documents, spreadsheets, or creative software.
The Pro Type Ergo features a 10% base slope and supports five different input angles, allowing users to adjust the typing position depending on desk height or seating posture. Supported positions include a flat horizontal setup, 4° and 7° forward tilt, and 4° and 7° backward tilt. This range of positioning options is designed to provide flexibility for users seeking a more relaxed wrist posture throughout the day. Razer includes a velvet wrist rest to complement the ergonomic approach, offering additional support during long typing sessions.
The keyboard uses low-profile spherical concave keycaps that follow the natural curve of the fingertips, helping maintain consistent typing accuracy over extended periods of use. The layout also introduces several functional elements to improve workflow efficiency, including dual B keys on both sides of the split layout and three spacebars.
