Sony has released a new PC launch trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach ahead of its March 19 release. The trailer, titled “No Rain, No Rainbow,” showcases the game’s environments and confirms several enhancements for the PC edition. The game will feature support for modern upscaling and frame generation technologies, including NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS, allowing players with different GPU setups to improve performance and maintain higher frame rates.
In addition to upscaling support, the PC version will include ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion. Ray tracing will enhance reflective surfaces such as water, while ambient occlusion will improve the realism of shadows by accounting for ambient lighting effects. Sony has not updated the official PC system requirements to include these effects, so the performance impact of ray tracing on CPUs and GPUs is yet to be fully confirmed. According to Sony, these features are intended for players with high-end hardware who want to go beyond the existing “Very High” graphics preset. The game runs on the Decima engine, which will handle these visual improvements.

The PC release will also include uncapped frame rates, expanded graphics options, and support for ultrawide (21:9) and super-ultrawide (32:9) displays. Full mouse and keyboard support with customizable key bindings and spatial audio support are also part of the PC enhancements. Players will also gain access to new gameplay content, including a mode called “To the Wilder” and additional features that will be available at launch.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is available for pre-purchase on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The full release for PC is scheduled for March 19, making it the first opportunity for players to experience the expanded graphical features and new content on the platform.
