Epomaker Previews Carbonis Gaming Mouse With PAW 3950 Sensor, Opens Early Bird Reservations

Epomaker has shared early details about its upcoming Carbonis gaming mouse, marking the company’s next step in carbon fiber mouse design. Following the earlier CarbonX (Review) model, the Carbonis continues Epomaker’s focus on lightweight materials while moving to a solid carbon fiber shell. Ahead of its official launch later this month, Epomaker has opened early bird reservations, allowing interested buyers to secure a spot with a $1 non-refundable fee that includes a $15 discount once sales begin.

While final pricing has not been announced, Epomaker appears to be positioning the Carbonis as a more accessible option compared to flagship wireless gaming mice. If priced competitively, the Carbonis could appeal to users looking for high-end hardware without moving into premium price tiers.

From a design perspective, the Carbonis uses a right-handed ergonomic shape. Its profile closely follows large ergo gaming mice commonly used for palm and relaxed claw grips. The solid carbon fiber construction also sets it apart from many lightweight mice that rely on perforated shells. Epomaker has confirmed that the mouse will be powered by the PixArt PAW 3950 sensor, paired with a Nordic N54L microcontroller, and will support an 8 kHz polling rate.

Another notable feature is a small LCD screen located on the top of the mouse. This display is expected to show essential information such as DPI settings, polling rate, and battery status. Instead of a traditional desktop application, Epomaker is using a web-based driver, allowing users to adjust settings directly through a browser.

Weight figures, switch type, and encoder details have not yet been disclosed. The Carbonis will be available in a purple gradient finish as well as a black forged carbon design, both featuring a gold scroll wheel. Epomaker is expected to share full specifications closer to the launch window.
