Lian Li Launches RS Series PSUs With Rotatable AC Inlet and Dual-Side Motherboard Outputs

Lian Li has introduced the RS Series power supply units, a new product line designed to improve flexibility and cable routing in modern PC builds. The series includes 1000 W and 1200 W models and features developments aimed at users who work with compact cases or layouts where cable access is limited. The highlight of the RS Series is the rotatable AC inlet, an industry-first design that allows the orientation of the power input to adjust depending on how the PSU is mounted. This creates additional room for cables and helps users connect their system more efficiently.

The rotatable inlet enables the PSU’s output ports to face the side when needed, simplifying access after installation. This approach assists builders who typically struggle with tight PSU shrouds or cases with narrow clearance. Lian Li also includes a dual-side 24-pin motherboard connector, offering an output port on both the left and right sides of the unit. This helps the main power cable take the shortest path to the motherboard tray, improving cable organization and airflow while making room for additional components.

Inside the RS Series, Lian Li uses EPCOS capacitors known for their compact size and reliable operation. These capacitors work alongside Japanese components that meet strict stability requirements for long-term use. The RS Series holds 80 Plus Gold, PPLP Gold, and Cybenetics Platinum certifications, indicating efficiency levels above 90% under common workloads. High efficiency reduces excess heat, which supports consistent performance inside closed or compact cases.

The PSU includes soft, flat modular cables for CPU, GPU, SATA, and PATA connections. These cables are designed to reduce space usage and help builders achieve cleaner routing paths. Magnetic cable ties are included to group cables neatly where needed, supporting builds that focus on both airflow and appearance. For cooling, a 135 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan manages internal temperatures. The fan supports a Zero RPM mode during low to moderate loads, allowing silent operation when the system does not require active cooling.

The RS Series also supports an optional RS Hub, a detachable USB module that expands internal USB connectivity. This compact add-on offers four USB 2.0 headers, allowing up to eight devices to be connected inside the system. It can attach directly to the power supply through its built-in magnets or be positioned anywhere inside the case with power delivered through a SATA connection. The RS Hub comes included with the 1200 W model, while users of the 1000 W version can purchase it separately.

Lian Li will offer the RS Series in black and white finishes, with availability beginning on December 5, 2025. The series expands the company’s PSU lineup with features aimed at improving cable access, installation convenience, and overall system organization.
