Cherry XTRFY has officially released its new PIXIU99 MONARCH mechanical keyboard. This Keyboard integrates Cherry’s third-generation MX mechanical switches and is powered by the Nordic nRF54H20 multi-protocol SoC, designed to support various wireless connections with improved efficiency.
The PIXIU99 MONARCH introduces a number of engineering enhancements. It uses an open internal design instead of a traditional bottom cover, which allows better sound control and airflow. Cherry has also included its DSS dual suspension damping system that helps reduce vibration and stabilize key feedback. The keyboard comes with a modular color screen that can be swapped or customized and supports user-adjustable key sound profiles for a more personalized experience.
The layout follows a 99+3 key design, offering a near full-size configuration in a compact frame. Its chassis is made from CNC-anodized metal with a brushed finish and a magnetic nameplate engraved with the model’s logo. All keys are hot-swappable, allowing users to change switches without soldering. RGB lighting is built in and can sync with music playback. A detachable wrist rest is also provided to improve typing comfort.
In terms of connectivity, the PIXIU99 MONARCH supports USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.3 modes. Both the wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes offer an 8kHz polling rate for reduced input delay. The Bluetooth mode operates with a 4000mAh battery, capable of running up to 110 hours on a single charge, depending on usage.
