Corsair has introduced its first controller made specifically for fighting game players, the Novablade Pro Wireless Hall Effect Leverless Controller. Known for its PC components and gaming accessories, Corsair is expanding further into the competitive controller market with a product that focuses on input precision, switch speed, and reliable tournament performance.
According to Tobias Brinkmann, Vice President and General Manager of Gaming Peripherals at Corsair, the company aimed to design a controller that meets the growing demand for faster, more responsive inputs. He explained that the Novablade Pro combines Corsair’s magnetic switch technology with new features that improve timing and control for players who rely on precise input execution in competitive matches.

The Novablade Pro features 15 adjustable magnetic keys, powered by Corsair’s MGX Hyperdrive Hall Effect switches. Each key allows users to fine-tune the actuation point anywhere between 0.1 mm and 4 mm, enabling customized sensitivity for different gameplay preferences. These switches are built for durability, rated to handle up to 150 million key presses, ensuring consistent performance through years of use.
A major highlight is the Rapid Trigger function, which resets a key immediately after release. This reduces input delay, allowing players to perform faster repeated actions — a feature especially important in fighting games that rely on quick directional inputs and frame-perfect timing.
Another key feature is FlashTap SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Direction) technology, which manages directional input conflicts while keeping the controller compliant with tournament rules. Corsair’s implementation enhances precision and ensures players have consistent directional control. A dedicated Game Mode can also be activated to disable extra inputs like the G-keys and touchpad, preventing accidental disqualifications during matches.

The controller’s compact all-button layout and premium construction make it suitable for transport to tournaments and gaming events. The Novablade Pro offers tri-mode connectivity, giving players the option to connect via 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or USB wired mode. This flexibility ensures low-latency performance whether playing at home or on stage.
In terms of design, the Novablade Pro includes 360° RGB LightEdge illumination, 15 individually lit keys, and a removable aluminum top plate for customization. Players can also assign functions to eight programmable G-keys and store up to five user profiles using onboard memory.
The Novablade Pro is compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, making it suitable for a wide range of fighting game titles across multiple platforms.
Corsair has confirmed that the Novablade Pro is now available through the Corsair Webstore, with availability coming soon to authorized retailers and distributors, including Best Buy and Amazon. The controller comes with a two-year warranty and is supported by Corsair’s worldwide customer service and technical support network.
With the release of the Novablade Pro, Corsair enters a growing market for leverless controllers, offering competitive players a high-performance alternative built around speed, reliability, and customization.
