Lexar has officially announced the launch of its new ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD, designed to meet the growing demand for high-speed, mobile storage solutions. The Lexar ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD aims to deliver professional-grade performance in a compact and durable form, catering to both iOS and Android users who work with high-resolution content.
The Lexar ES5 offers read and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s, allowing for faster file transfers and smoother creative workflows. It comes in multiple storage capacities, including 1TB, 2TB, and a 4TB model expected to be released in the first quarter of 2026. This range makes it suitable for photographers, videographers, and creators who require large storage volumes without compromising on portability.
One of the key highlights of the ES5 is its MagSafe-compatible design, which enables quick attachment to supported iPhones. Lexar also includes a magnetic ring accessory for users who want to connect the SSD to non-MagSafe devices.
