Colorful has officially unveiled its latest range of AM5 motherboards for AMD Ryzen processors, presenting new designs aimed at enthusiasts and mainstream users. The lineup includes the flagship X870E iGame Vulcan, the compact B850M CVN ARK, and the anime-inspired X870 SENNA Edition. These Motherboards introduce several features that were previously absent from AM5 motherboards, such as dual-DIMM designs and external BCLK generators, highlighting a growing effort by manufacturers to equip AMD’s latest platform with advanced overclocking tools.
The X870E iGame Vulcan stands at the top of the new offerings and was showcased at an event in Guangzhou, China. This ATX motherboard adopts a dual-DIMM layout, designed to enhance memory overclocking potential. It comes equipped with robust VRM power delivery covered by large heatsinks, dual 8-pin power connectors, and an integrated overclocking panel located next to the memory slots.

Storage options include five M.2 slots, with one Gen5x4 slot featuring a dedicated aluminum heatsink. The PCIe configuration includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with an EZ release mechanism, while additional slots are concealed under metal covers for a cleaner look. The Vulcan also features several tuning buttons and multiple headers for fans, RGB, and USB connectivity. While the showcased model featured a black finish, Colorful has a history of offering alternate white versions of its Vulcan series.

Alongside the Vulcan, Colorful introduced the B850M CVN ARK, a redesigned micro-ATX motherboard. Despite its compact size, the CVN ARK integrates a stronger VRM setup, support for DDR5 memory speeds above 8000 MT/s, and a four-DIMM configuration. The board incorporates modern connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 support, 2.5 GbE LAN, and a PCIe slot with an EZ release function. One of its most significant additions is an external clock generator, allowing real-time BCLK adjustments, which brings advanced tuning capabilities to a more accessible price point. The CVN ARK is presented in a white color theme, broadening Colorful’s design options.

The third product in the lineup is the X870 SENNA Edition, which combines an anime-themed white aesthetic with the features expected from an AM5 ATX motherboard. Colorful has confirmed that the board includes support for the current Ryzen CPU lineup, updated BIOS, and compatibility with future Ryzen processors.

In terms of pricing and availability, the B850M CVN ARK is expected to cost around 1300 RMB, which converts to under $200 USD. This makes it one of the few motherboards in its price segment to offer an external clock generator. Meanwhile, pricing for the X870E iGame Vulcan and the X870 SENNA Edition has yet to be finalized, and Colorful has not announced firm release timelines for these models.
With this lineup, Colorful aims to strengthen its AM5 presence by delivering products that appeal to overclockers, gamers, and mainstream users, offering a mix of performance-focused features and modern connectivity options.
