Lexar has officially announced its participation at Gamescom 2025, scheduled from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany. Known globally for its flash memory solutions, Lexar will use the event to highlight new products for gaming, content creation, and professional workloads. The company will have a strong presence at the trade fair with three exhibition areas, including its main booth and, for the first time, a joint stand with the Storage & Data Alliance (SDA).
At Hall 10.1, Aisle B – 071, Lexar will present two high-performance PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs designed for different sales channels. The Lexar NM990 M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD will be available through retail stores in the EU, while the Lexar ARES PRO M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD is prepared for distribution on Amazon. Both models target gamers and creators who require fast data access, reduced load times, and consistent stability under heavy use.
The company will also expand its DDR5 desktop memory portfolio. Two new variants will be introduced: the THOR RGB 2nd Gen DDR5 for EU retail markets and the THOR Z RGB DDR5 for Amazon. Both modules are designed with improved performance profiles and dynamic RGB lighting, aiming to deliver stable performance for gaming systems and workstations. Visitors to the Lexar booth can also take part in hands-on activities and live demonstrations to experience the products in real-world scenarios.
In addition to its main exhibition, Lexar will appear at a joint booth with the SDA, where it will reveal more innovations. The Lexar PLAY PRO microSD Express card will be highlighted as a next-generation solution for portable gaming and content applications, offering significantly higher transfer speeds compared to standard microSD cards. Supporting this is the new Lexar RW540 card reader, optimized for microSD Express and built to handle demanding workflows. Completing the lineup is the Lexar ARMOR SD GOLD, described as the world’s first steel-free SD card, designed to provide durability while reducing reliance on traditional materials.
Gamescom 2025 provides Lexar with a platform to demonstrate how it is positioning its product line for the next phase of gaming and content creation needs. With PCIe 5.0 SSDs, DDR5 memory, and microSD Express technology, the company is expanding its offering for both professional and consumer users.
