The PR-G lineup introduces a side-facing, L-shaped connector layout that caters to front-mounted PSU cases and motherboards with rear-facing connectors, allowing for neater cable routing and simplified build processes.
At launch, the PR-G series includes two models: a 650W unit and a 750W unit. Both versions are available in black or white finishes, offering users the flexibility to match their system aesthetics. Pricing begins at $58 for the 650W black model and extends to $67 for the 750W white version. To back long-term reliability, DeepCool provides a 10-year warranty on the series.
The PR-G series complies with the Intel ATX 3.1 standard, ensuring support for today’s demanding hardware. These units are capable of handling up to twice the rated system power and three times the GPU’s rated power draw during transient spikes. With modern graphics cards frequently requiring rapid bursts of power, this compliance ensures stable performance under varying workloads.
In terms of efficiency, the PR-G series carries a PPLP GOLD certification and an ATX 3+ classification, achieving over 90% efficiency at 50% load. Cooling duties are handled by a 120mm fluid dynamic bearing fan with PWM control, engineered to provide consistent airflow while minimizing noise and extending operational lifespan.
To safeguard connected components, the power supplies include a comprehensive set of protection features. These cover overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, overtemperature, overpower, surge, and no-load protections. To improve durability and reduce resistance, DeepCool uses flame-retardant cable materials rated for 105°C along with 16AWG copper cores.
