Thermaltake has introduced the G6 Direct Drive Racing Wheel with Pedals Bundle, a new addition to its lineup of gaming hardware aimed at the sim racing market. The package includes a 6Nm direct drive motor, a full metal three-pedal set, and a 13-inch D-shaped racing wheel, designed to provide a realistic driving experience for users building home racing setups.
The G6 uses a direct drive servo motor capable of delivering 6Nm of torque. This configuration allows the system to replicate driving forces such as road texture changes, tire slip, and weight transfer with high accuracy. The motor is housed in a compact aluminium alloy base that includes a dual cooling system. A low-noise fan and built-in temperature sensor help to maintain consistent performance during long sessions without overheating.
The steering wheel measures 13 inches across and features a D-shaped design with a synthetic leather wrap for improved grip. It uses a steel ball quick-release system, allowing users to change wheel styles quickly. The front of the wheel is equipped with 12 programmable buttons, two rotary knobs, a five-way joystick, and four paddles – two for gear shifting and two for clutch input. There are also 10 RGB LEDs on the wheel face that can be customized through the included software.
The bundled pedal set is constructed entirely from metal and uses Hall effect sensors for precise input detection. Each pedal can be adjusted for height, angle, and spacing to suit different driver preferences. An optional brake-damping kit is available for users who want to further tune the brake pedal’s resistance. Anti-slip pads and pre-drilled mounting holes provide a secure fit on various sim racing rigs and cockpits.
Thermaltake provides Racing Control software for the G6, giving users access to detailed configuration options. This includes settings for force feedback strength, steering sensitivity, pedal response, and button assignments. Multiple profiles can be saved to accommodate different games or vehicle setups.
The G6 Direct Drive Racing Wheel with Pedals is compatible with other Thermaltake ecosystem products. It can be paired with the GR500 cockpit, GM5 motion platform, and monitor stands for a complete racing environment. The design also matches Thermaltake’s Tower 600 chassis for users creating integrated gaming or simulation stations.
