ZOTAC, a company best known for its graphics cards and mini PCs, has confirmed the launch of a line of consumer fragrances aimed at gamers. Initially announced on April 1, many assumed the move was part of an April Fools’ joke. However, the company has now confirmed the existence of the product line through a public test in partnership with Hong Kong tech media outlet HKEPC.

The fragrance collection is called the Zotac Gaming Fragrance Series and includes four unisex scents designed to provide a refreshing boost during extended gaming sessions. According to Zotac, the products are formulated with ingredients like caffeine and taurine, alongside unspecified proprietary components, aimed at reducing fatigue, enhancing concentration, and potentially improving reaction time.
The first scent to be made available for public testing is called F5 (Refresh). It features a fragrance profile that begins with bergamot, transitions to a heart of rock rose and geranium, and finishes with rosemary as the base note. The scent is described as a woody aquatic blend intended to deliver a clean and invigorating effect.

In addition to F5, Zotac has detailed three other fragrances in the lineup:
- Ctrl+Alt+Scent: A woody blend combining eucalyptus, cedarwood, dried vetiver, and black pepper. The profile is built around earthy and slightly spicy elements.
- Critical Hit: An oriental-style fragrance with warm notes of cinnamon, patchouli, cedarwood, and amber. This scent leans into a richer and more intense aroma profile.
- GG: Marketed as an “Asian Zen” fragrance, it features lighter and fresher notes including grapefruit, green tea, bamboo leaves, and a synthetic ozone compound, likely meant to evoke a clean and airy feeling.
Each Zotac Fragrance in the series has been designed with neutral tones, appealing to a broader audience without leaning into overly masculine or feminine branding. Zotac’s focus appears to be on offering functional fragrances that can integrate into the lifestyle of gamers and PC users, especially those who spend long hours in front of screens.
While no retail launch date has been announced yet, the F5 sample test in collaboration with HKEPC suggests that Zotac is actively moving forward with plans to distribute these products. It remains to be seen whether the market will embrace such a niche offering, but the company’s approach reflects a growing trend of hardware brands exploring lifestyle and peripheral product categories beyond their traditional scope.
Zotac has not disclosed pricing or global availability as of now.
