REDMAGIC has officially unveiled its latest gaming smartphone, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro, in China today. Marketed under the theme “Beyond Limits,” this device aims to raise the bar for mobile gaming with its high-end hardware and advanced features.
At the core of the REDMAGIC 10S Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition chipset, paired with the RedCore R3 Pro co-processor. It comes equipped with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage, allowing it to deliver impressive performance, including a reported AnTuTu score of 3.46 million. This setup supports smooth gaming even at high settings, demonstrated by its ability to maintain a full 60 frames per second for an hour while playing Honkai: Star Rail. The phone supports frame interpolation for over 200 games, improving visual stability by 30%. Its display offers 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and an enhanced rendering capability reaching 3.8K clarity.
The REDMAGIC 10S Pro features a dual-platform architecture that supports PC emulation, enabling players to connect keyboards, mice, gamepads, and external monitors. This effectively bridges the gap between mobile and PC gaming. Available configurations include up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, designed to meet the needs of power users who require extensive multitasking capabilities and ample space for large game libraries.
Cooling is a critical aspect for gaming phones, and the 10S Pro includes the upgraded ICE-X cooling system. It combines liquid cooling with an active turbo fan and uses liquid metal thermal paste with 250% improved conductivity. This system increases the heat dissipation area by 30% and keeps the CPU temperature lower by up to 5°C, ensuring stable performance during extended gaming sessions.
The display measures 6.85 inches and offers a nearly full-screen experience with a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio and no notch. It reaches a peak brightness of 2000 nits and features a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. To reduce eye strain, the phone includes a hardware and software-based eye protection system that adjusts brightness and color temperature according to ambient light.
For controls, the device features shoulder triggers with a 520Hz polling rate and a 2,500Hz touch sampling rate, which help gamers react faster during competitive play. MagicTouch 2.0 technology further improves touch response, reducing latency.
Battery life is another strong point for the REDMAGIC 10S Pro. It packs a large 7,500mAh battery with dual cells and silicon anode technology, supporting up to 10 hours of continuous gaming. The phone also supports 120W fast charging, able to reach full charge in just 35 minutes. Smart charging management helps maintain battery health during heavy use.
The phone’s design features a transparent metal chassis with customizable RGB lighting that highlights the cooling fan and back panel. It has a flat back to improve grip and remove the camera bump. The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is 16MP, optimized for clear selfies and video calls.
Audio is powered by dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra 3D surround sound and enhanced haptic feedback for a more immersive gaming experience. The device also introduces an AI assistant called MORA, which supports in-game voice commands, offers tactical tips, and provides real-time translations to aid communication in multiplayer games.
The REDMAGIC 10S Pro will be available in China starting May 26, 2025, with prices starting at 4,999 RMB. Several configurations and color options are offered, including a limited edition Wuthering Waves bundle that features a unique design and exclusive accessories.
International launch details are expected on June 5, 2025. Additionally, REDMAGIC is set to launch the Astra Gaming Tablet in China on June 11, aiming to expand its presence in the portable gaming market.
