MONTECH has announced the launch of its new CENTURY II power supply series, aimed at builders looking for reliable power delivery and modern compatibility. The new PSU series includes support for the latest ATX 3.1 standard and features a native 12V-2×6 connector, making it ready for upcoming graphics cards such as NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series and AMD’s Radeon RX 90 Series.
The CENTURY II power supplies will be available starting April 15, 2025. Three models will be offered at launch:
- CENTURY II 850W at $89.90
- CENTURY II 1050W at $109.90
- CENTURY II 1200W at $129.90
Each unit in the series is built to handle demanding loads. MONTECH states the units support peak power draw up to twice the PSU’s rated wattage, and up to three times the rated wattage on the GPU rail, providing additional support during power spikes often seen in modern high-end systems.
Efficiency is another key focus. The CENTURY II has received both 80 Plus Gold and Cybenetics Platinum certifications. These ratings indicate solid efficiency across a range of loads, helping reduce overall power waste and excess heat inside the case. This can be especially important for users building compact or quiet systems.
Cooling is handled by a 135 mm fan using a fluid dynamic bearing. The fan is paired with MONTECH’s Smart Zero Fan feature, which keeps the fan off during low to medium workloads. This helps reduce noise during regular use, while the fan activates only when higher cooling is needed.
The internal design includes all Japanese electrolytic capacitors, which are known for their performance and durability. This choice improves long-term reliability and allows the power supply to operate under sustained high loads without issue. The CENTURY II uses a fully modular cable design. Builders can connect only the cables they need, improving airflow and simplifying cable management. This also makes future upgrades or maintenance easier.
